Self Employed Driver/Stock Collector
Wood Green is an Animals Charity based in Cambridgeshire and are now extending our reach through opening more charity shops in the region and further afield in Norfolk, Hertfordshire, Oxfordshire.
An opportunity has arisen for a part- time self-employed van driver/stock collector to provide a service for collections and deliveries of donated goods including furniture and electrical items for our charity shops based in the Banbury, Northamptonshire and Oxfordshire areas.
We are looking for someone who will be responsible for the efficient collection and delivery of donated goods across these locations and from our warehouse in Huntingdon.
The role also offers the opportunity of working with the shop teams to develop strong customer relationships to build stock donations and support for the new store. An interest in determining the saleable quality of donated furniture items to help us to maximise charity income is desirable.
The successful candidate will have experience of driving a van, ideally for the purposes of the delivery and collection of goods, and is able to be flexible in travelling to specific locations as required within this area. You will have good communication skills and be able to work alone and/or as part of a wider team.
Self-employed candidates will be required to own their own van which should be of a suitable size and capacity to transport items of furniture, hold a valid and clean driving licence and insurance liability documentation.
Rates of pay for self-employed work are competitive and will be discussed at the time of interview.
So, if you feel that you have the required skills, knowledge and experience, enjoy working on a self-employed basis, and live in the Banbury, Northampton area, Wood Green would love to hear from you.
