Full time, 40 hours, flexible contract with frequent weekend work and evenings required.


We are looking for an enthusiastic ‘people person’ to join our Community Engagement Team. You will have active involvement in organising, attending and running off-site events and activities, with and without our Community Engagement vehicle. You will engage with families and individuals, encouraging involvement in participatory learning activities. Promoting a range of relevant support services for pet owners & pet seekers to keep pets well cared for in loving homes. Gathering community feedback on pet welfare issues via insight tools.

You will further spread the messaging, service awareness and learning opportunities by delivering talks to a variety of Community groups, whilst highlighting and encouraging fundraising opportunities as appropriate.
You will be responsible for supporting administration, in particular, managing the booking enquiries for events and community talks.

It is essential you have an empathetic and non-judgmental approach to working with all audiences. To promote positive animal welfare and be an advocate for the Charity at all times. With a dedication to supporting both pets and people, you will need to be both confident working alone, as well as an excellent team player who can effectively collaborate with team members and other departments within the Charity.

The successful applicant will need to be self-motivated and organised with a flexible approach to working, as regular weekend and evening work will be required. Please note this job role does require the driving and setting up of a 3.5 tonne van. Training will be provided.
