Community Engagement Assistant
Wood Green, The Animals Charity is looking for a fun, enthusiastic individual to support its continued commitment to the education of children and adults in animal welfare and responsible pet ownership.
The successful applicant will be responsible for supporting the delivery of family and adult workshops throughout Cambridgeshire and the surrounding counties; delivering animal welfare sessions to Primary and Secondary school students within a school setting; managing and processing session enquiries, bookings & associated administration; attending local events to spread the awareness and messaging of Wood Green.
With strong communication skills and experience of delivering or supporting formal or informal teaching sessions to children, you must feel comfortable engaging with a wide range of people from a variety of backgrounds and across all age groups; a formal qualification is not essential. Equally as important is to have a passion to make a supportive, positive impact to pets and their owners.
The successful applicant will need to be self-motivated with a flexible approach to working as variable weekend and evening work will be required. A clean driving licence and DBS check is a requirement for this role. If you do not already hold a transferable DBS, Wood Green will cover the expense of a DBS check. Full training will be provided.
