They will have the ability to work on their own initiative and the ability to organise and prioritise work, with sound knowledge of Health and Safety as it relates to maintenance and grounds work.
Excellent customer care appreciation is essential, as is the ability to work within a team.
Carpentry, plumbing or other related trade experience is desirable, as the maintenance assistant will be expected to carry out general carpentry, painting, plumbing and non-fixed wire electrical work. They will also undertake grounds duties which will include grass cutting, border and boundary pruning, and general grounds maintenance and upkeep. Also a First Aid at work qualification would be beneficial and a willingness to attend a First at Work Training Course.
